| Louisiana Health Technology - Monday, February 18, 2008The Louisiana Rural Health Information Exchange, in conjunction with the Louisiana Rural Hospital Coalition, Inc. (LRHC) and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport (LSUHSC-S), today announced the selection of an integrated platform provided by the collaboration of four leaders in open systems and interoperability standards to realize their vision of a federated, patient-centric regional eHealth initiative. | $1.5 Million Grant to Establish Health Information Network in Pointe Coupee Parish - Monday, February 18, 2008The rural parish of Pointe Coupee will soon have a more advanced electronic network of medical information than most other areas of the state. Thats because funds awarded this week through the federal Department of Health and Human Services are being used to establish a health information technology network in the Pointe Coupee Parish area. The goals of this effort are to improve coordination of care, increase quality of care and provide cost savings to the system. read more ... |
